Through every sleepless night, every hospitalization, and every tear, Patti was there—steadfast, supporting her daughter and caring for her grandson with unwavering devotion. Together, they faced pain and hope, crossing borders and leaving their homeland to seek the medical treatments Mateo needed.
The family found refuge and solidarity at Ronald McDonald House, and Mateo’s courage—his smile, his resilience—inspired Patti and Marie to never give up.
